"Buried in Time" was inspired by Jesus' Parable of the Growing Seed in Mark 4:26–29. In this often-overlooked passage, Jesus describes a farmer who scatters seed and then goes about his daily life. While he sleeps and rises, the seed grows "all by itself," though he does not know how.

That simple picture became the inspiration for this song. It reminds us that God's Word is alive and powerful. Long after it is planted in a person's heart, the Holy Spirit continues His unseen work—bringing conviction, faith, spiritual growth, and ultimately a harvest. We may not always see what God is doing, but He is always faithful to complete the work He has begun.
