There are moments when following Jesus is difficult—but there are also moments when you simply can't stop smiling because you know Him.
River of Light was written from that perspective.
Every day we meet people who are searching for meaning. Some pursue wealth, success, entertainment, or endless distractions, hoping they'll finally discover peace. Yet Scripture tells us that lasting life is found in only one place: Jesus Christ. He isn't merely part of the answer.
He is the answer.
The image of a river captures that reality beautifully. A river is always moving, always refreshing, always bringing life wherever it flows. That's what Christ has done in my life. His forgiveness washed away my past, His presence gives me peace today, and His promises carry me toward eternity. Once you step into that river, you never want to go back.
Musically, that joyful energy matches the message: following Jesus isn't a burden; it's the greatest freedom a person can ever know.
The "River of Light" is a picture of the new life found in Christ. When we trust Him as Savior, we're no longer wandering in darkness or searching for purpose on our own. We begin walking in His light, experiencing His peace, and discovering the abundant life He promised.
John 8:12
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (NIV)
The world offers countless substitutes for hope, but none of them can satisfy the human heart. Jesus doesn't simply improve our lives—He transforms them. If you've already stepped into His River of Light, keep walking with joy. And if you're still searching, His invitation remains open: come to Him and discover the life only He can give.
